Meet the LPS Staff

All Staff have the following:

  • CPR/First Aid current training
  • Finger-printed and background screened by the FDLE and cleared to work with children by DCF
  • Cleared by the FDLE Sexual Offender Predator System
  • Declared Eligible to work in the US by the Dept of Homeland Security
  • Complete at least 10 hours of continuing education yearly after the initial 45-hour DCF course

Jennifer is the mom of two (son 29, daughter 25) and step-mom of two (son 37, daughter 39). Jen came to Naples from Pittsburgh, PA over 30 years ago with her husband of 31 years. The 2024-25 School Year will be Ms. Jen’s 27th school year at LPS as the owner/Director/Lead VPK teacher. Jen has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology from Penn State University (WE ARE …) and was certified to teach children in grades Kindergarten through 6th in PA. She has earned an Advanced Level Director’s Credential with the Trauma Informed and VPK endorsements. She also holds a Child Development Associates Degree Waiver from Edison Community College. She has more than 380 hours of continuing education in the area of early childhood education and related curriculum areas to include preschool administration. She is a JDRF volunteer, past JDRF Hope Gala Chair, Walk to Cure Chair and board member where she has had direct experience raising over $6 million for diabetes research in honor of her T1D daughter. Jennifer is a past Board Member of The Early Learning Coalition of SWFL and before her employment at LPS worked in the Collier County Public Schools as a substitute teacher. Jennifer brings a unique perspective to LPS as she has built a successful program guided by what she knows to be important for healthy development not only as a seasoned educator but also as an experienced mom and step-mom. She believes in facilitating learning in an exciting and purposeful way while keeping in mind the fun traditions of the families who attend our school. She believes that developing the whole child is key to future educational success and is dedicated to helping each child meet their potential by identifying strengths and possible deficits and delays. She is passionate about making LPS a fun and exciting place to learn, play and grow!

Ms. Jaclyn – VPK Assistant Teacher and Director’s Assistant

Jaclyn is the energetic mother of two terrific kiddos (son 22 and daughter 20) and is the guardian of her sweet nephew (8). This school year she will have a new college graduate, a current college student, and a third-grader! All of Ms. Jaclyn’s children have attended LPS so she is well versed in what to expect as a parent of a preschooler and strives to give our current families the same sense of belonging and comfort she felt when her own children attended. This will be Jaclyn’s sixteenth year on the LPS staff. Jaclyn has a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies/Psychology from FL Gulf Coast University. (GO EAGLES!) Jaclyn’s psychology background and interest in and affinity for helping children with special needs balances our staff’s knowledge and interest base. She has been involved with our community as a past Cub Scout volunteer and a devoted NPE parent volunteer. After 6 years as the Naples Park Elementary PTO President, Ms. Jaclyn has relinquished her post, for now. Jaclyn’s can-do, positive attitude allows her the ability to handle whatever comes her way. She is terrific with our students and is well-respected by our parents. She has proven to be an excellent disciplinarian using positive reinforcement through conscious discipline to help each child meet success in the classroom. Jaclyn expertly uses her experiences as a mom, and a seasoned preschool teacher to give our students a loving, nurturing educational experience while relating and implementing relevant life lessons and skills. Jaclyn has accumulated over 180 hours of continuing education in the area of early childhood education with a focus on VPK literacy and standards for four-year-old children. All of this good stuff combines to make Jaclyn a very important part of our VPK success.

Lynda Hoff – Preschool Threes Lead Teacher

Ms. Lynda came to Naples from Cape Cod, MA 24 years ago. It is here in Naples where she met and married her husband and where they together are raising their children. They are the parents of two (son 18, and daughter 20). Lynda started with us a our Preschool Threes Assistant and was soon promoted to Lead teacher where she used her to lead our Threes in a loving, exciting, fun learning environment. Lynda comes to us with a wealth of experience working with young children in a preschool setting and holds a Child Development Associate degree. This will be Lynda’s 5th school year at LPS. She comes to us with the highest recommendations from her previous employers at FBA and Livingston Academy. We think you will find her easy to speak with and will enjoy her sense of humor. She enjoys finding interesting books, projects and exciting movements and music for her students. Lynda enjoys mingling with and talking to her students during center time while helping your little ones expand their vocabulary and learn new skills. The children will enjoy her mom/teacher demeanor and will appreciate her silly sense of humor. Lynda’s experience and skills as a preschool teacher, patience of a mother, and love of anything crafty make her the perfect Lead Teacher for our Threes classroom.

Emily Iverson – Preschool Twos Lead Teacher

This will be Emily’s seventh school year with LPS. Ms. Emily is a Naples native and has graduated from Naples High where she earned her Child Development Associates degree through coursework and hands-on caring for young children in the high school’s preschool program. She comes to LPS with the highest recommendations from the Naples High CDA program advisor. Emily has earned her Associate in Arts at Florida South Western and has completed the coursework to renew her CDA and recently graduated from FGCU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science. Emily’s classroom is always an upbeat and inviting place for her students to learn, play, and grow. Emily’s bubbly personality and love for all things silly along with her caring attitude and teaching experience make her the perfect preschool twos lead teacher.

Brianna Larson – Preschool Twos Assistant Teacher

Brianna comes to us from Eden Praire, MN where she worked as a private, personal care attendant and a sitter for local families. Brianna was raised in a home daycare where she worked as an assistant and as a substitute teacher. It was there that her love for educating and caring for the young began. She comes to us with excellent recommendation from her previous teacher and home health assistant families. Ms. Bri is loved by our students, respected by our families and enjoyed by our staff. Her calm, easy-going, demeanor balances the excitement in the classroom. She is an excellent classroom manager and enjoy helping to develop new and exciting lessons and projects for her students. Her affinity for helping her students be the best they can be is evident in her teaching.

Eslie Martinez – Preschool Threes Assistant Teacher

Eslie is originally from Tampico, Mexico but was raised in Naples and graduated from Lorenzo Walker Technical High School as a Certified Veterinary Assistant.  She is our on-sight Bi-lingual teacher with fluency in both English and Spanish.  Eslie is working toward an Associate’s Degree from Florida Southwestern State College while also receiving her Certificate in Applied Biblical Knowledge at Grow School of Ministry. She also has over a year’s worth of experience from serving in the children’s ministry at Grow Church.   Eslie loves helping our students have successful days.  Through kindness and caring she guides our students to make good choices and appreciate friends’ feelings.  She enjoys helping to keep our Threes classroom organized and running smoothly.  Ms. Eslie is one of the kindest people you will meet.  She is interested and attentive to our student’s needs while helping them to be the best little people they can be.
