Meet the LPS Staff

All Staff:
– Have a local, state and federal background check completed before hire
– Are CPR and First Aid certified and are current in this certification
– Have completed the required DCF 45 hour Childcare Courses and at least 10 hours of in-service training per year.
– Are trained how to recognize and report child abuse and are mandatory reporters.

Jennifer Lange – Director and PreK (VPK) Teacher

Jennifer is the mother of two children (son 21, daughter 17) and has lived in Naples with her husband for over 22 years.  She has been the owner of LPS for over 19 years having worked with the previous owner for 1 year.  The 2015-2016 school year will be Ms. Jen’s 20th school year at LPS.  Jen has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Penn State University (WE ARE …) and was certified to teach Kindergarten through 6th grade in Pennsylvania.  She also has earned an Advanced Level Director’s Credential and holds a Child Development Associates Degree Waiver from Edison Community College.  She has more than 230 hours of continuing education in the area of early childhood education and related curriculum areas to include preschool administration.  Jennifer is an active volunteer in our community.  She has been a Collier County Parks and Recreation Cheerleading coach and team sponsor.  She also is an active JDRF volunteer, past JDRF Hope Gala Chair and past board member where she has had direct experience raising over $6 million for diabetes research.  Jennifer is also currently a Board Member of The Early Learning Coalition of SWFL.  Before her hire as a teacher at LPS 19 years ago, she worked in the Collier County Public Schools as a substitute teacher.  Jennifer brings a unique perspective to LPS as she has built a successful program on what she knows to be important for children not only as a trained educator but also as an experienced mom and step-mom.  She believes in making learning exciting and purposeful while keeping in mind the fun traditions of the families who attend our school.  This school year will mark Jen’s tenth year of VPK participation.


Christina Dotson – Preschool Three’s Teacher

Christina Dotson comes to us  from the big state of Texas making a home in Naples with her husband and their 3 amazing children, ages (14), (11), and  (8).  Christina has over twelve years of practical experience working with children from birth through Pre-K and also has experience working with elementary aged children in after school care programs in Texas.  Christina comes to us with an Associate of Arts Degree specializing in Child Development/Early Childhood Education. Christina has over 90 hours of continuing education in the area of early childhood from FL.  She is currently working toward becoming a Human Service Board Certified Practitioner. Her love for teaching combined with her creativity and energetic, cheerful personality make for a fun and exciting learning environment in her classroom! Her easy going personality affords her the ability to speak openly and honestly with parents, staff and children alike.  She also has classroom experience working closely with a behavioral therapist to help children with special needs meet their potential.  Great moms make good teachers.  She is thrilled to be a part of the LPS family and is looking forward to her sixth LPS school year!


Jaclyn Cardillo – VPK Teacher’s Assistant

Jaclyn is the mother of two terrific kiddos ages (14 and 12) both of whom previously attended LPS.  This will be her ninth year on the LPS staff.  Jaclyn has a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies/Psychology from FL Gulf Coast University (GO EAGLES!)  Jaclyn’s psychology background comes in handy helping to balance out our staff’s knowledge base.  She has been involved with the community as cub-scout leader and devoted NPE parent volunteer.  After 5 years as the Naples Park Elementary PTO President Ms. Jaclyn has finally relinquished her post.   Jaclyn’s can-do attitude allows her to be able to handle whatever comes her way.  She has proven to be an excellent disciplinarian using positive reinforcement to help each child meet success in the classroom.  Jaclyn has previous preschool and tutoring experience and has over 110 hours of continuing education in the area of early childhood education. 


Susan Mastrocola – Preschool Three’s turning Four

Susan is a certified Early Childhood/Elementary Teacher. Susan earned her BS in Communication Disorders and Early Childhood Education from Worcester State University. Susan and her husband moved from Massachusetts in 1997 to Naples and now have two teenaged daughters who attend school here in Collier County. Susan comes to us with the highest recommendations from Collier County Public Schools as she was a Pre-K assistant teacher in a special needs classroom. Susan’s education and her classroom experience both as a substitute and classroom teacher coupled with her patience and understanding gives her the ability to think fast and adapt to all types of situations and circumstance with preschool aged children.  

Adriana Montufar – Preschool Two’s Teacher

This will be Adriana’s second year as lead two’s teacher at LPS.  Ms. Adriana comes to us with direct experience working with preschool aged children and more specifically twos and threes!  Adriana has an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Family Welfare and has also received her DCF Staff Credential for her studies in Early Childhood Development.  Her love of children and desire to see and help all children learn to the best of their abilities makes her the perfect Preschool Two’s turning Three teacher.  Her formal schooling provides her with a well-rounded developmental education in addition to her 70 hours of continuing education in the area of preschool only add to her innate love of nurturing and helping a child meet their fullest potential. Ms. Adriana has also completed the course work to earn her Florida Director’s Credential.


Lauren Caplan – Preschool Two’s Assistant

Ms. Lauren recently graduated in 2014 from Palmetto Ridge HS where she was able to take classes in Early Childhood Education while working hands-on with the children in the onsite preschool there.  This will be her second school year as our Two’s Assistant. Ms. Lauren also works part time with the Leaders League afterschool program at Veteran’s Memorial Elementary. She has over 65 hours of continuing education in the area of preschool education.  Ms. Lauren is soft spoken and is incredibly kind and patient and very much enjoys working hands on with the little ones.  Her calm, easy-going demeanor balances the excitement in the classroom.
